Matthew 24:32

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh.

At the first moment of anxious thinking and concern step back and be conscious of the hand of God lifting you and placing you within His heart and trust. As for the grace to, “let go.”

June 5, 2017

Give all to me. Turn over all to me. I fill you with the Holy Spirit. Be not afraid. All things are in My hand.

June 2, 2017

Have an attitude of gratitude, praise and love not as rote exercise, but rather from the heart. Pray to become who I created you to be.

May 26, 2017

When you call upon my name, you are calling upon a power outside of yourself. Regardless of how you feel call on Me often.

May 23, 2017

You were created for a purpose and a destiny. Destiny is ongoing. I lead the way. Do not worry. I am the truth, the way, the life.

May 20, 2017

Heed my words. Do not let your hearts be troubled – no matter what bombards you. I am beside you. You may feel discouraged, but you are not defeated – no not ever!

Romans 12:12

Romans 12:12

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

John 14:1-6

John 14:1-6

Jesus says to his disciples, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God. Have faith also in Me."

This day let's try to heed our Lords comforting words to us. Substitute worry for, "I believe in You God."

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day

On this Mother's Day be reminded of your Heavenly Mother, Mary. Perhaps you know the touch of her loving hand – a hand that gently consoles, reassures, encourages, and makes way. Or maybe you’ve been reluctant to take a look at her. If so, you’re missing out on one of the greatest masterpieces God ever created. Maybe you’ve never felt the need to draw close to Our Lady, or you think it will take something away from your relationship with Jesus. But, you need not worry that she will crowd out Jesus – to the contrary she’ll help you open your heart more and more to accept His full love and presence.

As the Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen once said, “God, who made the sun also made the moon. The moon does not take away from the brilliance of the sun…All its light is reflected from the sun. The Blessed Mother reflects her Divine Son; without Him, she is nothing. With him, she is the Mother of Men” (The World’s First Love.)

Perhaps its time to clasp the hand of your Mother. Jesus sends her to you as your friend and companion. Today, ask Mary to be that friend to you, and to help you live out your splendor.

Lord thank You for the gift of Your mother.

Don’t let me miss her!

Dear Lady, I long to know you, to draw closer to you.

Be my friend, my comforter, my heavenly mother.

And may I experience the comfort of being one with you, my mother.

I ask this in Jesus’ name.

Amen

Our Lady of Fatima

Our Lady of Fatima

Today is an extraordinary day. 100 years ago Our Lady of Fatima appeared to a crowd of 70,000 people gathered in a tiny village in Portugal (keep in mind that this is before our day of instant communication and all platforms of social media!) Her message was one of forewarning and hope. On this special day, I encourage you to think of your Heavenly Mother and be reminded that She addresses you with the same tenderness that She did 100 years ago with the children of Fatima.

The Splendor of You

The Splendor of You

At the first moment of anxious thinking and concern step back and be conscious of the Hand of God lifting you and placing you within His Heart--Trust. Ask for the grace to "let go."

1 Corinthians 15:58

1 Corinthians 15:58

An inspirational verse to begin your Monday with! Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

You live in hope...

You live in hope...

It's as if Jesus says to us: I have arisen! I have conquered death. No longer live in fear, overwhelmed by the troubles and tasks of life. Rather be stout hearted and hopeful. Take every piece of the puzzle of your life and place it on the altar. And I, in turn, will bring the pieces of your life together. You need not worry. You live in hope.

Zechariah 10:1

Zechariah 10:1

Ask the LORD for rain in the springtime; it is the LORD who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone.

Jeremiah 18:6

Jeremiah 18:6

Do you struggle with surrender? I did. I often associated it with submission & resignation until I realized – surrender is about succumbing to the will of our Savior & trusting Him. Trusting His will. Surrendering is the deep realization that you may not get what you want. No, you may not…you may get even more! Explore the Surprise of Surrender with me in Reflection 9. “Indeed, like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in My hand.”

Change in Career Path?

Change in Career Path?

Are you considering a change in your career path? These words of wisdom shared by my father years ago have always stuck with me. “Look in your own back yard for your goldmine.”

What a motivational & comforting verse to start the day!

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

February 13, 2017

You and I were created in God’s image. You ARE a good idea!

January 30, 2017

Start your week off celebrating your Splendor. Repeat after me: I am beautifully and wonderfully made!

November 21, 2016

You have value! Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Matthew 6:26

November 7, 2016

Love this verse! Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might. Ecclesiastes 9:10

Joshua 1:9

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

Genesis 3:19

Genesis 3:19

For you are dust and dust you shall return.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Proverbs 3:5-6

The perfect passage for a new beginning!

Behold I make all things new. Revelation trust in Him with all your heart and on your own intelligence do not rely; in all your ways be mindful of him, and he will make straight your paths.

John 13:34

John 13:34

I have loved you, love one another.

2 Corinthians 5:17

2 Corinthians 5:17

So whoever is in Christ is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold new things have come.

Just breathe...

Just breathe...

If you catch yourself feeling flustered or caught in a pattern of “stinkin’ thinkin’” this week, remember: not all problems have to be solved in a day! Take a breath, take a walk, take some time to rejuvenate.

Faith with Family

Faith with Family

From early in our marriage, Don and I have prayed the rosary with our children. We find it brings our family together and washes us with comfort and peace. If you're looking for a meditative way to share your faith with family this year, I explore praying the rosary with my family during Reflection 24.
